  Please be aware that we are now in the GeeksIRC Network under the channel name #mendotatech!!!


 

1) No disrespecting anyone a level above you in the chat room!


2) Absolutely no Kicking, Banning someone above you in the GeekIRC chat room


3) Report ALL Kicks, Bans to archilanet@gmail.com with the reason why and the hosting. You must provide the hosting to the person. (If able to)
4) Write reports up on all kicks, bans in a E-Mail, Word File and add it to my Shared Folder on MSN on the archilanet@gmail.com . this name is normally ALWAYS active if not E-Mail the file to me ASAP.


5) Also LogMeIn will be availibe on the PC that runs the stream so if the stream some how ends I'll be giving anyone SOP and few AOP's the password to HOW to access this to get the stream back up. Do no abuse these rights!


6) When streaming NO foul Language! Any issues of the rules being broken please contact edmerarchila@yahoo.com or archilanet@gmail.com with a report, write up of this issue and post this to me ASAP.


7) The person streaming IS Auto a SOP and WILL be in control of the Topic and CAN NOT over power the streamer.


8) People NO ONE can change the topic without confronting the person streaming! Yes even Bill Gates and President Bush has to follow theses rules and obey them.

Such infraction may result in federal prosecution pursuant to DMCA : Title II (Digital Millenium Copyright Act), Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030). Note, although posting UStream links and off topic links doesn't violate US Law, it is considered "a nuisance" and may be MUTED from the chat room for 3 hours unless given permission to by the chat room owner and the stream channel owner. At the owners discretion, he will specify how many times you may post such link and/or time intervals. NO FURTHER COMMENT ON 3 hr. MUTE.

10) Also there is no getting around a BAN! If someone gets around a ban by using a Proxy of some sort or someone some how gets OP who ever provided them OP in the channel is banned and will STAY banned until further notice. Also, GeeksIRC IRCOps will be notified.  To add, NO ustreamers! People not logged in can't get OP. NONE of them can. I REPEAT NONE of them. Also that goes for Archilanet. Archilanet  can not OP someone without them having a form typed up and sent in.


11) NO Bans can be removed on someone that is above you so your not allowed to remove a ban on someone that is above your level if they set one.


12) No Oping yourself on another name. The highest privilege you can give yourself is ONLY Voice! Only Edmer Archila is allowed to do this because he is a Channel founder. If you have a problem with this rule then you can leave and post us a message at archilanet@gmail.com or edmerarchila@yahoo.com and tell us your opinion on this and let us know how you feel for it.


13) Never over ride a stream without asking in the chat first! Also no one NO ONE is allowed to come in as C-T-C, CTC,ComputerTechCentral, Aussie114, Suspencer114, Archilanet, ArchilaNetworks,MendotaTech, and so forth of the founders! Auto Ban if done so and will not be removed!


14) No over riding someone talking! Meaning no threats everyone has an opinion and a Voice in this chat room. So if someone has something to share allow them to speak. If someone is overcontrolling the chat room, the person overcontrolling will be severely dealt with! (Meaning when someone talks they are putting them down and attacking them personally or not letting them voice themselves on an opinion they get kicked! After 3 times they are banned)

Being a volunteer for #mendotatech is a rewarding experience but it doesn't come without responsibilities and difficulties.

The most important thing to know about being a #mendotatech Volunteer is that you may not want to still be one once you learn more about the position. Being a moderator is not a glamorous position and doesn't give you the right to kick or ban anyone you want.

It takes a great deal of hard work, dedication, and most of all patience to be a #ComputerTechCentral Volunteer. You'll spend a large proportion of your time answering the same questions over and over again and again, mediating disputes, providing basic tech support to members, and teaching users IRC commands.

The overall amount of time a moderator spends talking to his/her friends in #ComputerTechCentral is drastically decreased. To use an analogy, you no-longer get to play in the pool, you are the on who sits on the side watching others have all the fun.

If you're still interested and hope to be a volunteer we have an application process. To be considered for an entry volunteer position applicants must:

1)Be over 16 and be trusted by all OP's
 
2)Normal comer to the channel
 
                                                                      3)Have OP in at least 2 other Channels (Not your own)
                                                       4)Registered nick with ustream.tv
                            5)Have never been banned from Archilanet (After April 1, 2008)
 
                                        6)Able to speak and read the English Language
 
                                           7)Be willing to not get paid for this job
 
                                 8)To Give more than you receive in this channel
 
   9)Realize that you are no longer a new comer. You are now a parent to the Channel doing their job and providing to the community
 
                       10)Must be on the channel for up to 5 hours a week. (Full 7 days)
 
                 11)Clean up behind someone else and no longer pout and sulk over the jobs you must do
              
                             12)Learn to deal with bad attitudes
 
13)Have a positive look at all things of the Chat room. Do not give up because something is not working (Remember people are looking up to you)
 
14)Be willing not to give out OP to others. You can only give Voice at the most. Not even to your self can you give OP.
 
15)You must also learn to Manage situations you will have to deal with when you get your first job.
 
16)Always try to help Archilanet grow!
 
17)Remember that you are no longer the child at the play ground, you are the parent looking after the school children and punishing and rewarding those who do right and wrong
18)Be willing to listen and follow directions of other OP's and be willing to put others before your self.
 
19)Be able to follow our ranks of OP's!
If these are to much for you, then you have a long way to go in life. And now what you must do if you can do all of this you must complete a simple task that stops 90% of the community from getting OP in our channel. That is write a complete Essay stating why you deserve to get OP in our channel and be that teacher looking after the kids rewarding and punishing the new comers. The essay must be over 250 words. Nothing less. Even if you have 249 you are disqualified from getting AOP. Rules are rules.
